Founded in 2014, pioneers of bus safety.
Crescendo Innovative Solutions LLP was founded by Sachin Nair and Huzefa Kathawala, two MBA graduates who set out to make the school bus ride a safe one. We are the exclusive Maharashtra partner of Consat Orahi, the joint venture formed in 2022 by Orahi and Consat Engineering AB of Sweden.
How it began
As MBA students at the MET Institute of Management, Sachin and Huzefa chose school-bus safety as their project study. It was a time when India was still shaken by the Nirbhaya case in Delhi in December 2012, and news kept coming in of children being harmed on the very buses meant to take them home.
The project did not stay on paper. The two built a working system: a live CCTV camera inside the bus, GPS tracking of every trip, and an ID card each child taps at the bus door, so that parents get a message the moment their child boards. In 2014 a school in Matunga, Mumbai, became one of the first to put it on its buses, and the platform was launched.
The story made the front page of Mumbai Mirror on 8 November 2014, which described the founders simply as Two MBA post-grads
(Mumbai Mirror, Arita Sarkar).
The Swedish connection
Our technology partner Consat Orahi joins Indian digital innovation with Swedish engineering. Consat is a family-owned Swedish engineering house with 40 years of experience, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, and Consat Orahi is a member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in India.
Twelve years on
In the twelve years since 2014, that first college idea has grown into deep, tested expertise in GPS, live video, cloud software and field service. Alongside school safety, the same team has delivered special projects for government bodies in India and abroad, always with the same aim: technology that keeps people safe and services running.

What is Orahi Locate?
Orahi Locate is the real-time GPS tracking platform we run for school buses; the live CCTV is our own Crescendo Live Cloud CCTV service. Parents see the bus live on Google Maps with stop-wise ETAs, and the school sees every bus in one admin app.
How much does it cost?
GPS tracking and live CCTV come bundled together on one invoice. Ask us for a quote for your school.
Do you offer school bus GPS tracking in Mumbai and Pune?
Yes. We give schools real-time school bus GPS tracking on Orahi Locate, with Crescendo live CCTV, in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurgaon, with stop-wise ETA alerts and a private login for every parent.
How is your CCTV different from a DVR?
We use a single wired 1080p IP camera with audio and infrared night vision that streams live over 5G and saves to the cloud. There is no DVR box in the bus, and the school can watch any bus live.
How fast are problems fixed?
Parents raise a ticket in the app, it is routed to the technician assigned to the school, and it is resolved within 24 hours.
Are you approved by a safety body?
Yes. We are India's only school-bus safety company empanelled by the National Council for School Safety (NCSS), and our installs follow NCSS-audited standards.
Which cities do you serve?
Our own teams work in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurgaon, and our schools are in 12 states and union territories across India, in 18 cities (see the map). We are the exclusive Maharashtra partner of Consat Orahi.
